Sanjay, prior to joining Al Mal, was for the last 11 years Managing Director at Alpen Capital (ME)  Limited, located in Dubai with offices across the GCC and India. He has also served as Senior Vice  President and Head of Capital Markets at Emirates Bank Group.

During his past 15-year tenure in the Middle East, he has lead-managed mandates of over USD 16  billion in the areas of debt and equity capitals markets and project finance in GCC and India. These  cover conventional debt and Islamic finance advisory, M&A, JVs, divestments and private equity in  the Middle East and South Asia.

He is an economics and finance professional, with over 30 years of corporate and investment banking experience in India, UAE and the Middle East. An Order of Merit Holder of Indian Institute of  Bankers, he has also undergone executive education programmes in the US and   Europe.
